Eastlit Editorial

I mentioned before that I’m on the editorial board of Eastlit, an online journal aimed at promoting new writing in and about East / South East Asia. The editor, Graham Lawrence, invited me to write a guest editorial for the October issue. I gratefully accepted, knowing exactly what I wanted to write about: e-books and self-publishing. I’m no Ludite and no paper purist, I have an e-reader and love it, but there are certain aspects of the publishing revolution that I think could be problematic for writers, and this is what I deal with in my piece.

Have a read and if you have any thoughts, let me know. I hope the editorial can start a discussion that would be of benefit to the new writers who read and contribute to Eastlit. Also, please take time to read the poems and stories in this issue and in the archives.
